I am designing the lapbook elements for volume two's lapbook one week at a time, as we go. You can find them all in each chapter's post using the "Middle Ages" tag but I will also put them here, the ones I have so far, and update the running list every so often. When all the chapters are complete I will zip them into one large file as well as post a video walk through. When you print these makes sure you set your settings to "shrink to a printable area".

Thank you so much for these wonderful lapbook pieces. We are enjoying making our lapbook each week. I have a question, I have never made a lapbook that is so large up until now. When making yours do you put it together as you make each piece or is it best to wait until the end of the course after all pieces are completed/made and then assemble it? I am also confused as to how many file folders/how to put them together for such a large book.
ReplyDeleteI know this is not an easy question to answer and I truly appreciate your time and any help you can be with this.
Thank you again for these wonderful resources.
Thanks so much for the lapbooks. We're starting ours now for vol. 1 This is our first year of homeschool and so far we're loving it. We're going to be doing vol 2 over the summer, and I'm sure to be back to look again at what you're ideas were. Thanks again :)
ReplyDelete@Our Homeschool Fun: if you find the video walk through for the volume one lapbook is shows you how to glue them together. you can do it ahead of time and glue in the pieces as you go, or wait until all the pieces are completed. Which ever work for you! Here is the link to the video post:

Thank you so much for sharing this! I was tickled to find it, and I can't wait to start sorting through and meshing it with our current materials.
ReplyDeletePlease help. I fell head over heals for your blog and pictures of your lapbook! Noah and I are starting the middle ages this week using SOW and Sonlight books. I am distressed to find that when I click on the chapter buttons for the pdf files, I get this http://app4.websitetonight.com/projects2/4/1/3/8/808314/uploads/SOTWv2_LB_ch_18.pdf and they won't open on either of my computers. I figure that I am doing something wrong since others have been able to open them. Can anyone help? My email is rebecca121760@aol.com Thanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteThat is the link to the file you posted Becky and they are all working for me right now. I expect it is your computer, or slow internet? They are PDF files, about 1-2 pages long with graphics. Try a library computer or a friend's computer. Sorry I can't troubleshoot more for you!
ReplyDeleteOMGsh! Thank you! I will be sharing this on Facebook and Twitter!
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed reading your blog, and wanted to leave a comment instead of lurking all th time! My children have really enjoyed Story of the World. We have never done a lapbook, but I am really intrigued with it, and would like to add that to our homeschool next year.

You are SO cool!
ReplyDeleteP.S. and your kids are cute.
So excited to find your blog link at WTM - which I rarely visit anymore (spent too many years worrying about my choices on that board :) Anyway, fun to see someone with such a similar background - I am also a second generation homeschooler, Orthodox convert from Protestant background. We are also on the middle ages this year, and while I must admit that this year things have fallen apart in many ways, I am ready to get back on track, and look forward to checking in at your blog for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAlia, thanks for moving this to "the top" for us not-so-internet savvy people like me.
